Why Helping Out Your Community is Important.

In this world everyone needs help even if its the simplest tasks. Helping out in the community doesn't just have to be people it could be animals, trees, rivers, lakes, etc. Doing community service is also a great life lesson, the lesson is helping out in the community could lead to greater things like helping the world to be a better place. It doesn't only help the communtiy it gives you self-confidence and lets you know you can do anything helpful you want to, and to be proud of yourself and the job you are doing.  

What I Did

For my community service project I did two different activities. First I helped out at the Charlevoix Public Library, doing things like putting DVD slips in the DVD cases, and I helped out at one of the summer programs helping kids make bottle rockets and other types of rockets. The other thing I did was help out at the Bay Harbor Equestrain Club doing many things like, folding and cleaning rags, rearranging saddle pads in to nice piles, organized each school horse's tack box, swept up the hayloft and put all of the extra hay in to one big pile. After that I turned horses loose (brought them in to their pastures). I also spread shavings in the horse's stalls, filled up their water buckets, swept the barn, lead in horses from their pastures, threw hay in to the pastures and also fed most of the horses.
